Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: preterm infants with a gestational age less than 32 weeks and birth weight less than 1500g, admitted in the neonatal ward of Xinhua Hospital Affliated to Shanghai Jiaotong University School of Medicine.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Neonates with congenital malformations, congenital gastrointestinal abnormalities, anorectal malformations or necrotizing enterocolitis were excluded.
