20 Years to 70 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Age range from 20 to 70 years; 2. At least 20 teeth in the mouth (excluding the third permanent molar); 3. Healthy subjects: the bleeding on probing sites were less than 10%, and the probing depth of periodontal pockets was = 3 mm; 4. Periodontitis subjects: stage ?-? extensive periodontitis; 5. Periodontitis-diabetes comorbidity subjects: stage ?-? extensive periodontitis; diagnosed with T2DM for at least 1 year; the diabetes treatment regimen has remained unchanged over the past 3 months (no change in dose, formulation, or route of administration).

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: a. History of systemic antibiotic use in the past 1 month; b. Pregnant or lactating; c. Have a serious systemic disease other than type 2 diabetes (kidney disease, rheumatoid arthritis, liver dysfunction, stroke or history of stroke); d. Wear orthodontic devices or removable dentures; e. Oral mucosal disease; f. There are active oral infections such as periapical abscess and periodontal abscess.g. All smokers (including former smokers, quitters and occasional smokers, etc.).
