18 Years to 65 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: (i) aged 18-65 years; (ii) patients diagnosed with moyamoya disease who are considering EDAS surgery after evaluation by two neurosurgeons have expressed intent to proceed with EDAS surgery; (iii) Fazekas scores <= 2.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: (i) Neurological disorders, except TIA; (ii) Psychiatric illnesses; (iii) Below-normal intelligence or severe cognitive impairment preventing cognitive assessment; (iv) Systemic immune diseases; (v) History of head trauma, substance abuse, or alcohol abuse; (vi) Serious physical illnesses; (vii) Pregnancy; (viii) Contraindications for magnetic resonance scanning
