Eligibility
Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Observational Cohort 1. Onset of symptoms exceeding 4 weeks, diagnosed with chronic occlusion of the internal carotid artery through head and neck CTA/MRA or DSA. 2. Age between 18 and 85 years. 3. Patients have complete three-dimensional vascular imaging data, with image quality meeting the requirements for vascular imaging and three-dimensional model construction. 4. Preoperative high-resolution magnetic resonance vessel wall imaging scan. 5. Patients undergoing intervention for revascularization of chronic occlusion of the internal carotid artery. Interventional Cohort 1. Patients diagnosed with chronic occlusion of the internal carotid artery and who have signed the prospective informed consent form for enrollment. 2. Symptomatic patients requiring intervention for revascularization of chronic occlusion of the internal carotid artery, meeting the surgical criteria. 3. Patients able to undergo magnetic resonance imaging without any contraindications.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Observational Cohort 1. Patients with concomitant cerebral vascular diseases such as aneurysms, arteriovenous malformations, or fistulas. 2. Patients with implants or prostheses in the head or neck region. 3. Patients with arterial occlusion in the head and neck due to non-atherosclerotic causes such as arteritis or radiation therapy. Interventional Cohort 1. Patients with concomitant cerebral vascular diseases such as aneurysms, arteriovenous malformations, or fistulas. 2. Patients with multiple arterial occlusions in the head and neck. 3. Patients with arterial occlusion in the head and neck due to non-atherosclerotic causes such as arteritis or radiation therapy. 4. Patients requiring re-intervention for recurrent arterial occlusion. 5. Patients with concomitant critical illnesses and an expected survival period of less than 2 years.
