Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: The oral mucosal lesion tissues of 20 OSF patients all had a history of chewing betel nuts, no special treatment and no other systemic diseases.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Twenty normal oral mucosa samples (normal control group) were obtained from patients who underwent tooth extraction due to orthodontic treatment or impacted wisdom teeth. None of them had oral mucosal disorders, and they had no bad habits such as chewing betel nuts, smoking or drinking alcohol. The oral mucosal tissues were taken from the gingiva or mucosal tissues adjacent to the extracted teeth.
