Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1 Age requirement: Age >= 18 years old, with no upper age limit. To exclude the special influence of pediatric and elderly patients, adult patients were included. 2 Patients undergoing general anesthesia for gastric cancer radical surgery: All study subjects must be patients who have undergone general anesthesia for gastric cancer radical surgery (including gastric resection, lymph node dissection, etc.) and are supported by a ventilator. The study only includes cases that have undergone postoperative anesthesia recovery and require mechanical ventilation support. 3 Postoperative ventilator use: Patients who require mechanical ventilation after surgery and have an expected extubation time exceeding 2 hours. The patient's timing for extubation is unclear and there is a risk of delayed extubation. 4 Postoperative rehabilitation observation period: All patients must have at least 3 hours of recovery observation after surgery to ensure the accuracy of extubation decisions and exclude patients with early extubation failure. 5 Patient informed consent: All patients or their families voluntarily agree to participate in the study and sign an informed consent form.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1 Patients with severe cardiovascular and pulmonary dysfunction: Patients who already have severe cardiovascular and pulmonary diseases (such as severe COPD, acute respiratory failure, heart failure, etc.) before surgery or have severe cardiovascular and pulmonary complications during surgery have a significant impact on the timing and recovery process of extubation due to their own conditions. 2 Major complications during surgery, such as severe bleeding, organ damage, the need to return to the operating room for treatment, or uncontrollable cardiovascular and respiratory complications in patients. 3 Combination of malignant tumors or other important organ system diseases: for example, patients with end-stage liver and kidney dysfunction, severe metabolic disorders, or other malignant tumors may be affected by these factors, which may affect postoperative extubation decisions. 4 Patients with severe neurological disorders, consciousness disorders (such as coma or inability to effectively assess spontaneous breathing ability), or inability to undergo routine respiratory function assessments. 5 Pregnant patients: Pregnant patients are excluded due to physiological differences and special circumstances. 6 Allergy to anesthetics or analgesics: Patients with a history of severe allergies to anesthetics or analgesics.
