Chronic Ankle Instability

Interventions

Blank Control Group:No intervention during the experiment, intervention will be conducted after the experiment ends.
Conventional Rehabilitation Training Group:Perform periankle muscle strength training and progressive balance training.
Peri-Hip Muscle Strength Training Group:In addition to performing periankle muscle strength training and progressive balance training, extra peri-hip strength training is conducted.

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: (1) A history of at least one severe lateral ankle sprain in the past year, and the first lateral ankle sprain occurred at least 12 months before participating in the study; (2) At least two recurrent sprains after the first sprain (3) Having "abdication" and/or repeated sprains and/or "unsteadiness" of the ankle during daily life or sports activities; (4) The CAIT score was <=24.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: (1) any previous surgery on the musculoskeletal structure of the lower extremity (i.e., bone, joint structures and nerves); (2) acute injury to the musculoskeletal structure of other lower extremity joints in the past 3 months, impairing joint integrity and function (i.e., sprain, fracture), resulting in interruption of physical activity for at least 1 day; (3) any neurological disease, such as spinal cord, vestibular, brain injury, any disease affecting sensory or balance function; (4) nervous system problems affecting vision; (5) patients had a history of severe cognitive impairment.
