Gold Standard:Refer to the Chinese Guidelines for the Diagnosis and Treatment of Acute Ischemic Stroke 2023 for the diagnostic criteria:(1) sudden onset
(2) focal neurological deficits, with a few cases presenting global neurological impairment
(3) presence of a responsible lesion on imaging or symptoms/signs persisting for more than 24 hours
(4) exclusion of non-vascular causes
and (5) exclusion of cerebral hemorrhage via CT/MR
Index test:1) General information
2) Laboratory indicators
3) Conventional ultrasound characteristics of carotid plaques
4) Carotid plaque ultrasound angiography score.

Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1.Presence of carotid atherosclerosis characteristics; 2.Availability of complete ultrasound and clinical data; 3.Carotid plaque contrast-enhanced ultrasound (CEUS) results available; 4.Brain CT/MRI imaging performed within the past two weeks;
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1.History of stroke; 2.Previous carotid stent implantation or carotid endarterectomy; 3.Carotid stenosis due to other causes, such as Takayasu arteritis or fibromuscular dysplasia; 4.Carotid plaque presenting as hyperechoic with acoustic shadowing, obscuring lumen assessment; 5.Presence of malignant tumors, severe dysfunction of the liver, kidney, heart, or lungs, or serious infections;
