Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. 24-60 years old, gender is not limited, with healthy and non-functional third molars; 2. The first or second molars are diagnosed by the Stomatological Hospital of Wuhan University as the residual root, residual crown, tooth fracture, periodontal disease, etc., which cannot be preserved and need to be extracted, or the missing time is within 4 weeks, and the autologous third molar can be replaced; 3. According to the cone beam CT before surgery, the space between the affected tooth area is sufficient, and the buccal or lingual bone wall defect of the alveolar fossa is less than 1/3 of the height or width of the original bone wall, and alveolar fossa preparation is required during the operation; 4. The donor and recipient areas are ipsilateral and contralateral with the same jaw; 5. The root of the donor tooth is fully developed and completely extracted (if there is a broken root during the operation, it will be removed); 6. Root canal treatment is required for postoperative donor tooth; 7. The patient is in good general condition, has no contraindications to tooth extraction, good oral hygiene, and good compliance; 8. Patient is informed and agrees to receive this trial.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients with serious oral or underlying diseases, contraindications to tooth extraction, especially severe periodontitis, bone metabolism diseases, etc., taking bisphosphonate drugs; 2. The width and height of the recipient area and the distance between the donor teeth and the gingival distance of the opposite tooth are obviously insufficient (the difference is greater than 2 mm), and the alveolar bone in the recipient area is found to have obvious defects, deformities or lesions, and the bone wall is less than 1/3 of the height or width of the original bone wall; 3. CBCT showed that there were serious lesions or deformities in the donor tooth itself, such as too many roots, too large crown-root ratio, excessive loss of periodontal attachment (more than 1/2), excessive root curvature (the root length of the root tip removed was less than the crown height), or excessive root bifurcation (the distance between the bifurcated roots exceeded the mesiodistal diameter of the receiving area and the buccal-lingual diameter), and the periodontal ligament space was blurred or disappeared; 4. Failure to complete the surgery due to various reasons.
