Rebound pain after nerve block

Interventions

Dexamethasone group:Inject 20 ml of 0.375% ropivacaine (containing 8 mg of dexamethasone) around the sciatic nerve on the affected side.
Methylprednisolone group:Inject 20 ml of 0.375% ropivacaine (containing 40 mg of methylprednisolone) around the sciatic nerve on the affected side.

18 Years to 75 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Patients scheduled for foot and ankle surgery 2. Patients with ASA physical status classification I - III 3. Patients aged 18 - 75 years 4. Patients with a BMI of 19.6 - 29.9 kg/m²

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. The patient refuses. 2. Severe hematological diseases. 3. Simultaneous bilateral limb surgery. 4. Contraindications to nerve block (such as coagulation disorders, local anesthetic allergy or local infection). 5. Contraindications to corticosteroids (peptic ulcer disease, systemic infection, glaucoma, active varicella/herpes zoster infection, diabetes). 6. Pregnant or breastfeeding women. 7. Peripheral neuropathy. 8. Long-term use of opioid drugs and a history of drug addiction. 9. Cognitive impairment. 10. Contraindications to general anesthesia.
