Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Age between 45 and 75 years; 2. Gonioscopic examination showing synechial angle closure exceeding 180 degrees; 3. Use of two or more types of medication; 4. Intraocular pressure higher than 21 mmHg; 5. Mean deviation (MD) worse than 12 dB on Octopus visual field testing.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Snellen visual acuity worse than hand motion; 2. History of ocular trauma; 3. History of intraocular surgery; 4. History of uveitis; 5. Severe conjunctival scarring; 6. Iris or angle neovascularization; 7. Aphakia or pseudophakia (absence of natural lens or presence of an intraocular lens); 8. Corneal endothelial cell count < 1200 cells/mm²; 9. Other severe ocular conditions that significantly affect visual function, such as wet macular degeneration or high myopia.
