Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1.Cross-sectional Study: Inclusion Criteria for Patients with Atrial Fibrillation Who Have Experienced Cerebral Infarction: 1) Age >= 18 years; 2)Diagnosis of paroxysmal, persistent, or permanent atrial fibrillation or atrial flutter confirmed by electrocardiogram or medical history; 3) Presence of acute large vessel occlusion-type cerebral infarction confirmed by imaging and clinical symptoms, with a clinical or imaging diagnosis of cardioembolic stroke. 2.Cross-sectional Study: Inclusion Criteria for Patients with Atrial Fibrillation Without Cerebral Infarction: 1) Age >= 18 years; 2) Diagnosis of paroxysmal, persistent, or permanent atrial fibrillation or atrial flutter confirmed by electrocardiogram or medical history; 3) No history of cerebral infarction or transient ischemic attack. 3.Prospective Cohort Study: Inclusion Criteria: 1) Diagnosis of paroxysmal, persistent, or permanent atrial fibrillation or atrial flutter confirmed by electrocardiogram or medical history; 2) Presence of one or more of the following risk factors: heart failure, hypertension requiring pharmacological treatment, age >= 75 years, diabetes mellitus, history of thrombosis, or female sex.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1) Other types of cardiac arrhythmias; 2) Severe valvular heart disease identified by echocardiography; 3) History of other cerebral diseases (e.g., cerebral hemorrhage, brain tumors, etc.); 4) Presence of severe systemic diseases (e.g., malignant tumors, severe hepatic or renal dysfunction, etc.); 5) Acute infectious diseases within the past week (e.g., pulmonary infection, appendicitis, etc.); 6) Recent use of immunosuppressive drugs or receipt of immunotherapy.
