Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1: Enrollment criteria of MDD group: (1) Meet the diagnostic criteria of MDD in DSM-5; (2) Chinese Han nationality, male or female; (3) Age between 18 and 55 years old; (4) Junior high school and above; (5) Normal vision or corrected vision in both eyes, no color blindness, right sharp hand; (6) Voluntary participation in this study. 2: Enrollment criteria for HC group: (1) No history of any mental illness or family history; (2) Chinese Han nationality, male or female; (3) Age between 18 and 55 years old; (4) Junior high school and above literacy; (5) Normal vision or corrected vision in both eyes, no color blindness, right sharp hand; (6) Voluntary participation in this study.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1: MDD Exclusion Criteria: (1) Other DSM-5 diagnoses, such as schizophrenia; (2) Associated with poorly controlled serious physical illnesses, such as coronary heart disease, thyroid dysfunction, etc.; (3) History of cranio-cerebral trauma leading to loss of consciousness, or epilepsy; (4) The presence of visual/auditory dysfunction that can't be corrected to essentially normal; (5) The presence of significant finger movement dysfunction (inability to press the buttons); (6) In the period of pregnancy or breastfeeding Women in pregnancy or breastfeeding, or people preparing for pregnancy (childbearing); (7) Received electroconvulsive therapy or the electro-convulsive therapy within the last 6 months; (8) Do not agree to sign the informed consent form. 2: HC Exclusion Criteria: (1) Accompanied by poorly controlled serious physical diseases, such as coronary heart disease, thyroid dysfunction, etc.; (2) History of craniocerebral trauma leading to loss of consciousness, or epilepsy; (3) The existence of uncorrectable to basically normal visual/auditory dysfunction; (4) The existence of obvious finger motor dysfunction (inability to press the keys); (5) Pregnant or breastfeeding women, or preparatory to pregnancy (childbearing) period of the person; (6) Do not agree to sign the informed consent form.
