18 Years to No maximum

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. The selected patients should be aged 18 years or above. 2. The length of hospital stay should be no less than 7 days. 3. The duration of general anesthesia should be no less than 2 hour. 4. Primary school education level or above; 5. There should be no severe neurological disorders. 6. The patients should possess the ability to read, understand spoken language and cooperate with neuropsychological tests

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Cancer patients 2. Patients with cognitive impairment diagnosed as dementia by MMSE: (1) Cancer patients (2) Patients with MMSE score <= 23 before surgery (3) Difficulties in cognitive function assessment (patients with low compliance, hearing, vision, reading and comprehension impairments) (4) Had experienced cardiovascular and cerebrovascular accide scale before surgery 3. Difficulties in assessing cognitive function (patients with low compliance, hearing, vision, reading and comprehension impairments) 4. Had suffered from cardiovascular and cerebrovascular accidents within the past 6 months 5. Underwent secondary surgery or other surgeries during the current hospitalization 6. Had been diagnosed with any neurological disease in the past (Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, etc.) 7. Had a history of cerebral infarction or cerebral ischemia in the past.
