Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Age >=18 years; 2. Preoperative diagnosis of primary direct inguinal hernia confirmed by physical examination and imaging studies, classified as type I-III according to the 2003 Chinese Hernia Classification. 3. Absence of significant surgical contraindications on preoperative evaluation, with cardiopulmonary function compatible with general anesthesia and laparoscopic procedures.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Cases involving other abdominal wall hernia subtypes (indirect inguinal hernia, femoral hernia, incarcerated hernia, or strangulated hernia); 2. Coagulopathy or severe cardiopulmonary dysfunction contraindicating general anesthesia and laparoscopic surgery; 3. Anticipated extensive intra-abdominal adhesions precluding safe dissection (particularly documented history of major lower abdominal surgery or severe intra-abdominal infections).
