Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients admitted to the ICU with a confirmed diagnosis of sepsis, meeting the latest diagnostic criteria for sepsis.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Individuals under the age of 18, women who are pregnant or breastfeeding, those with a history of chronic gastrointestinal diseases, inflammatory bowel disease, malignancy and history of radiotherapy or chemotherapy, autoimmune diseases, and HIV patients.
