Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. 28 weeks <= gestational age <32 weeks or 1000g<= weight <=1500g; 2. no history of asphyxia rescue at birth; 3. no history of sedative or analgesic medication applied prior to the cerebral function test; 4. complete clinical data.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Confirmed diagnosis of neonatal hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy, congenital inherited metabolic disorders, severe congenital malformations, and neonatal hyperbilirubinemic encephalopathy; 2. Confirmed diagnosis of grade III or IV intraventricular hemorrhage, periventricular white matter softening, and central nervous system infection prior to NEC; 3. Those who did not complete the relevant examinations in the appropriate window period.
