Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Preterm infants hospitalized with a gestational age at birth of 24 to 36^+6 weeks; 2. Serum ferritin, complete blood count and C-reactive protein (CRP) tests are completed within 24 hours before discharge; 3.Born in our hospital and discharged after being cured or improved; 4.Transferred from another hospital within 24 hours after birth and the information of the pregnant mother can be completely obtained.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Major congenital malformations; 2.Inherited metabolic diseases; 3.Definite infection or elevated C-reactive protein (CRP > 10 mg/L) within 5 days before discharge; 4. Presence of neonatal hemochromatosis, congenital hemochromatosis, pure red cell aplastic anemia, hemophagocytic syndrome, hemophilia; 5. Transferred from another hospital more than 24 hours after birth; 6. Discharged against medical advice, died, or transferred to another hospital.
