Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1.The study subjects were adult patients undergoing elective surgery in supine position under general anesthesia with LMA. In our clinical practice, LMA was used in surgeries which were expected to last less than 2 hours. The type of surgeries included limb, urological, breast, gynecological surgeries, except for laparoscopic surgeries.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.Patients with upper digestive tract reconstruction, oral and pharyngeal diseases, and difficulty in opening mouth were prohibited from using LMA. Patients with limited neck movement, difficulty in inserting i-gel, and malposition and rotation following i-gel insertion were excluded from the analysis.
