Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Patients admitted to the Nephrology Department of Peking University People's Hospital from 2006 to 2012 with CKD stages 3-5 who were not on dialysis, or patients who underwent maintenance hemodialysis at our hospital's Hemodialysis Center starting from 2006 to 2007; 2. Diagnostic criteria for CKD stages 3-5: GFR < 60 ml·min^-1·(1.73 m^2)^-1 for at least 3 months; 3. Patients who have completed examinations such as vascular calcification, pulse wave velocity, and bone mineral density; 4. Patients who have been regularly followed up in the CKD outpatient clinic/dialysis clinic or who have been regularly contacted via telephone according to the routine of the CKD outpatient clinic.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients who are unable or unwilling to continue regular follow-ups; 2. Patients with heart failure classified as Class III/IV according to the New York Heart Association (NYHA) classification.
