Adolescent idiopathic scoliosis, AIS

Interventions

Control group:Subjects received outpatient routine therapy for 60 minutes each under the supervision of a therapist.
Experimental Group:A 20-min PNF session targeting the shoulder joint was added after 40 min of usual treatment.

8 Years to 18 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Adolescents of both sexes aged 8-18 years old. 2. Risser sign < 5 grade on X-ray films. 3. Type C S-type scoliosis with right thoracic curve dominant or with other secondary curves (Cobb Angle between 10°- 45°). 4. Signed informed consent and could cooperate with follow-up. 5. No longer receiving any other treatment during the treatment period.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Those who did not meet the above inclusion criteria. 2. Patients with life-threatening diseases such as heart, brain, liver, kidney, hematopoietic system and mental patients. 3. Congenital spinal deformity, or spondylolisthesis, tumor, tuberculosis, fracture and other patients who cannot tolerate spinal stress treatment. 4. patients who had undergone spinal correction surgery. 5. Shoulder trauma history, surgery history, and potential severe pathological changes.
