Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: MDD group: 1. meet the American Psychiatric Association "Statistical Diagnostic Manual of Mental Disorders" fifth edition (DSM-5) depression diagnostic criteria; 2. Aged 18-60 years old; 3. Single use of selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs); 4. Informed consent of the guardian and cooperator. Control group: 35 healthy people matching the age, education level and gender of the MDD group were selected as the control group. All enrolled subjects (or their guardians) signed informed consent.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients with cerebral organ disease or serious unstable physical disease (such as heart disease). 2. History of use of drugs and psychoactive substances that affect cognitive function within 2 weeks of enrollment; 3. History of electroconvulsive therapy in the past six months.
