Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Athletes of level 2 or above who are in school at Beijing Sport University and mainly run and jump, aged 18-35 years old; 2. History of knee pain in the patellar tendon region related to training and competition; 3. Subjects should present tendon PD activity, proximal tendon thickening (at least 1 mm compared to mid-tendon), and hypoechoic areas. 4. Exercise at least three times a week; 5. Tenderness on palpation of the corresponding area on the proximal patellar tendon; 6. Victorian Institute for Sports Assessment Patellar Tendon (VISA-P) score of 100 points < 80 points.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Acute knee or patellar tendon injury, and incomplete recovery from previous knee surgery; 2. Known presence of inflammatory joint disease or familial hypercholesterolemia; 3. Daily use of drugs with presumed effects on the patellar tendon (e.g., fluoroquinolones) in the past 12 months, local corticosteroid injection treatment in the past 12 months; 4. Previous patellar tendon rupture; 5. Received at least 4 weeks of daily exercise therapy in the past 12 months; 6. Inability to perform exercise programs and participate in other concomitant treatment programs; 7. Physical examination or ultrasound showing other signs or symptoms of coexisting knee pathology.
