Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Age> 18 years old; 2. Presence of symptoms of intracranial hypertension, consciousness or cognitive impairment, urinary incontinence, gait abnormality or epilepsy, etc.; 3. Imaging examination showed progressive expansion of the ventricular system, rounding of the third ventricle and increased frontal angle of the lateral ventricle (Evans index greater than 0.3); 4. Confirmed by preoperative CT or MRI of communicating hydrocephalus through lumbar puncture and cerebrospinal fluid related laboratory tests and meeting the surgical conditions; 5. Undergo shunt surgery for the first time.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Age< 18 years old; 2. Obstructive hydrocephalus; 3. Presence of craniocervical deformity, spine or abdominal disease; 4. Physical condition that cannot tolerate surgery; 5. Previous shunt surgery and missing data.
