Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. older than 75 years of age 2. in accordance with the diagnostic criteria of acute ischemic cerebral infarction and head MRI results show acute lacunar infarction 3. patients and relatives signed informed consent of this study

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Acute cerebral infarction patients with lesion larger than 20mm in MRI scan 2. patients with moderate to severe narrowing of either carotid artery of vertebral artery 3. patients with atrial fibrillation 4. patients underwent severe infection or major surgical operation 2 weeks within the diagnose of acute cerebral infarction 5. patients suffer from severe renal or liver dysfunction 6. patients with chronic or acute hematological system disease 7. patients with malignant tumor 8. Accompanied by other serious internal medicine diseases; 9. elderly patients with severe cognition insufficiency or hearing loss, unable to understand or cooperate with doctor 10. allergic constitution, or patients who was allergic to either Rhodiola roesa or butyphthalide
