Age
65 Years to 100 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Age between 65 and 100 years, either gender; 2. Normal cognitive function as assessed by the Mini-Mental State Examination (MMSE) prior to surgery; 3. Patients scheduled for elective non-cardiac surgery under general anesthesia; 4. American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) physical status classification I–III; 5. No history of cerebrovascular or neurological disorders; 6. Willingness to provide informed consent.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Emergency surgery; 2. Relative contraindications to general anesthesia: severe cardiac or pulmonary disease, history of drug allergies, etc.; 3. History of psychiatric disorders or long-term use of psychiatric medications, or presence of cognitive impairment; 4. Any cerebrovascular event (e.g., stroke or TIA) within the past 3 months; 5. Severe auditory or visual impairment that would interfere with assessment; 6. Alcohol dependence or drug addiction; 7. Inability to cooperate with testing, or refusal by the patient or their family to participate.
