Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Treated in the Department of Neurosurgery of Shanghai Sixth People's Hospital, due to the condition of the need to be admitted to the intensive care unit, the age range is 18~80 years old; 2. Diagnosis of infection according to clinical symptoms, imaging results and routine blood tests; 3. Ability to obtain discarded cerebrospinal fluid (CSF), sputum, plasma and urine (UR) samples; 4. The sample was also sent for at least one routine test due to the need of the condition, including traditional bacterial culture; 5. Obtain the informed consent of the patient.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Diagnosis and exclusion of infection; 2. Unable to obtain clinical samples; 3. The patient's baseline data is incomplete, and there are abnormal values in the baseline data; 4. The sample quality is unqualified (the library is not successfully established), and the mNGS quality control is not passed; 5. The patient refuses to give informed consent.
