Perioperative anxiety

Interventions

Cognitive Behavioral Intervention Group:The researcher prepared preoperative cognitive interventions in the form of comic books (titled Revealing the Hospital), coloring cards, and mask preadaptation.
Routine care group:Holiness accompanies the child until the child leaves the waiting area and has no other interventions.

3 Years to 9 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Healthy children aged 3~9 years old; 2. ASA is classified as Class I or II; 3. No previous experience in anesthesia or surgery; 4. Minor surgery under general anesthesia.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Children who require surgery due to urgent indications (e.g., appendectomy); 2. Children with language impairment and developmental disabilities; 3. Children taking psychoactive drugs; 4. Patients with chronic diseases.
