Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Age>=18 years old; 2. Those who are expected to need mechanical ventilation >=24 hours; 3. Use dexmedetomidine or cyclopofol to sedify patients; 4. Sign the informed consent form.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Long-term continuous (>=7 days) use of sedative and analgesic drugs before admission to ICU; 2. Using a ventilator for more than 24 hours within 7 days before admission to the ICU; 3. Severe neurological diseases, such as brain death, severe brain trauma, acute cerebral infarction, acute intracranial hemorrhage; 4. Neuromuscular diseases, receiving neuromuscular blocking agents, high paraplegia; 5. Severe chest trauma, multiple rib fractures, diaphragmatic hernia, tension pneumothorax; 6. Thoracic deformity, such as chicken breast and pectus excavatum; 7. Pregnancy; 8. Severe malnutrition or severe obesity, that is, body mass index (BMI) 37.5 [^BMI calculation formula is: BMI = weight (kg) / height ² (m²) ^]; 9. Abdominal compartment syndrome (defined as bladder pressure**>20 mmHg**, accompanied by dysfunction of related organs); 10. Abdominal surgery involves the diaphragm.
