Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1) Patients with T1DM who meet the standards published by the ADA; 2) Meet the evaluation of eye exams by professional ophthalmologists and the 'International Clinical Grading Standards for Diabetic Retinopathy (DR)' published by the American Academy of Ophthalmology in 2019.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1) Type 2 diabetes, gestational diabetes and other specific types of diabetes; 2) Hospitalized patients mainly diagnosed with diabetic ketoacidosis, diabetic hyperosmolar coma and other acute complications of diabetes; 3) Active or chronic inflammation, active infection, autoimmune disease; 4) Blood diseases, recent blood transfusion before enrollment, malignant tumors; 5) Acute or chronic kidney/liver disease; 6) Other eye diseases affecting the diagnosis of DR, such as macular degeneration, retinal vein obstruction, and glaucoma, were excluded; 7) Incomplete basic information, such as medication history and past medical history.
