Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Select patients who underwent cardiac valve surgery or patent foramen ovale closure from June 2021 to June 2023 at our hospital for the diagnosis of aortic valve and/or mitral valve disease; 2. Aged 18 years or above, gender unrestricted; 3. Pre-operative echocardiographic examination data and intraoperative echocardiographic monitoring data are complete and of good quality, allowing for image re-analysis; 4. All treatment records, progress of illness, and postoperative outcomes during hospitalization can be collected and are complete and effective, and postoperative follow-up channels are feasible.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Tricuspid valve repair or replacement should be performed simultaneously; 2. Congenital heart disease with severe left-to-right shunt; 3. complicated with primary cardiomyopathy; 4. the presence of severe pulmonary parenchymal disease, history of pulmonary embolism, idiopathic pulmonary hypertension and other diseases causing precapillary pulmonary hypertension; 5. recent acute coronary syndrome or concomitant coronary artery bypass grafting; 6. patients with severe systemic diseases or progressive diseases directly affecting cardiac function.
