Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Age between 18 and 40 years. 2. Presence of anterior knee pain or retropatellar pain induced by at least two of the following activities: prolonged sitting with knee flexion, bilateral squatting, stair ascent or descent, kneeling, running, or jumping. 3. Presence of at least one of the following clinical signs: patellar tenderness, crepitus pain, or twitching pain; positive single-leg squat test or positive resisted knee extension test. 4. Knee pain persisting for more than three months. 5. A Visual Analog Scale (VAS) score for knee pain greater than 3 out of 10.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Acute injury of the knee ligaments, joint capsule, bursae, or meniscus. 2. Knee extension or flexion contracture deformity, preventing normal lower limb flexion-extension movement. 3. Patellofemoral joint dislocation or subluxation. 4. Other knee joint pathologies. 5. History of trauma, inflammation, or infectious diseases in the lower limb. 6. History of knee surgery. 7. History of cardiovascular disease, diabetes, or malignancy. 8. Spinal cord or neurological injury.
