Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1.Patients receiving prolonged mechanical ventilation; 2.Patients who had undergone tracheostomy; 3.Patients over 18 years of age; 4.Unable to pass the spontaneous breathing test without the use of sedatives; 5.Patients having no new infections and no organ failure, such as heart or kidney failure; 6.Able to complete respiratory muscle training and extracorporeal diaphragm pacing applications; 7.Patients or their family members are able to understand and comply with the study protocol and are willing to sign the informed consent form.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.Patients with impaired respiratory center and no spontaneous breathing; 2.End-stage chronic diseases; 3.Patients with shock or hemodynamic instability after treatment; 4.Patients with rapidly progressing neuromuscular diseases; 5.Lactation or pregnancy; 6.Those who completely lose the ability to cough or expectorate;
