Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1 All age groups; 2 Meet ARI case definition; 3 Long-term (>= 1 year) residence in the catchment areas; 4 No anti-viral drugs administered prior to sampling (for subset sampled); ARI will be defined as sudden onset of symptoms and at least one of the following four respiratory symptoms: Cough; Sore throat; Shortness of breath; Coryza; Inpatient ARI will be defined as patients meeting the ARI case definition that are hospitalized for more than 24 hours.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: ?Short-term (<1 year) residence in the catchment areas; ?Individuals who do not sign informed consents; ?Foreigner.
