Interventions
Intervention Group:Consume 400 milliliters of isomaltulose solution (containing 50 grams of isomaltulose) 3 to 4 hours before surgery.
Control Group:Consume 400 milliliters of plain water 3 to 4 hours before surgery.

Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Age 18~75 years old; 2. Diagnosed with type 2 diabetes mellitus and well controlled blood glucose (randomly measured fasting blood glucose <=7.8mmol/L, 2-hour postprandial blood glucose <=11.1mmol/L); 3. American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) grade I.~III; 4. Body mass index (BMI): BMI 18~25kg/m^2.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Previous history of upper gastrointestinal surgery, high risk of reflux aspiration (delayed or obstructed gastric emptying, gastrointestinal obstruction, etc.); 2. Combined with other severe metabolic diseases other than type 2 diabetes mellitus or other types of diabetes mellitus; 3. Change or adjustment of the operation time due to special reasons; 4. Those who are severely obese or malnourished; 5. Communication or cognitive dysfunction that does not comprehend the VAS scoring system. (5) Communication or cognitive impairment preventing understanding of the VAS scoring system.
