Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Patients admitted to the cardiology department of each center for the first time due to HCM between January 1, 2018 and June 30, 2023; In order to identify patients with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, search can be conducted through the assistance of the information department or HIS system, using either keyword or ICD code in the hospital's electronic medical record system (EMR) 1) Keywords in medical records/diagnosis include "hypertrophic heart disease", "hypertrophic cardiomyopathy", "hypertrophic cardiomyopathy", "hypertrophic obstructive cardiomyopathy", "hypertrophic obstructive cardiomyopathy", "hypertrophic non obstructive cardiomyopathy", "hypertrophic non obstructive cardiomyopathy", "occult hypertrophic obstructive cardiomyopathy". 2) ICD-10 code: (National Clinical Version) I42.100 (Obstructive Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy), I42.100x002 (Hypertrophic Aortic Narrowing), I42.101 (Hypertrophic Obstructive Cardiomyopathy), I42.200 (Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy, Other), I42.200x001 (Hypertrophic Non Obstructive Cardiomyopathy), I42.200x002 (Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy), I42.201 (Apical Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy). (National version) I42.100 (hypertrophic obstructive cardiomyopathy), I42.200 (hypertrophic non obstructive cardiomyopathy) (Beijing version) I42.101 (hypertrophic obstructive cardiomyopathy), I42.201 (hypertrophic non obstructive cardiomyopathy), I42.202 (hypertrophic cardiomyopathy), I42.203 (apical hypertrophic cardiomyopathy). Meeting any of the above conditions is considered to meet the inclusion criteria for hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. 2. Report of cardiac ultrasound or cardiac magnetic resonance imaging examination during the first hospitalization for HCM in the cardiology department or during hospitalization.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. The following diseases are clearly diagnosed in the patient's medical record as causes of myocardial hypertrophy: aortic valve stenosis, cardiac amyloidosis, Fabry disease, glycogen storage disease (Danon disease or Pompe disease), PEKAG2 cardiac syndrome, Friedreich ataxia, hemochromatosis, malformation syndrome (RAS disease), and mitochondrial disease.
