Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: (1) Patients aged from 18 to 80 years old; (2) All patients were confirmed by endoscopic, imaging and pathological examination before surgery. According to the staging criteria of the seventh edition of american Joint committeeon cancer (AJCC) in 2010, the tumor stages were stage ?, stage ?, stage ?, and the predicted survival time was more than 6 months. (3) Patients undergoing elective radical or palliative resection for gastrointestinal cancer in our department; (4) Patients can cooperate to complete the nutritional assessment and basic information.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: (1) Patients who are participating in, or have participated in, other clinical studies within one year; (2) Patients with severe infection and respiratory insufficiency who cannot actively cooperate; (3) Cognitive disorders and language communication disorders affect communicators; (4) have serious primary diseases such as cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, liver and kidney failure, etc.; (5) Family members of the researchers involved in the project; (6) Body weight cannot be measured in bed; (7) Pregnant or lactating women; (8) Unwilling to sign the informed consent.
