Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Age between 18~70 years old; 2. Meet the diagnostic criteria for type 2 diabetes: 1. Have typical symptoms of diabetes mellitus (polydipsia, polyuria, polyphagia, unexplained weight loss), plus random blood glucose or venous plasma blood glucose > = 11.1mmol/L; or add fasting blood glucose >=7.0mmol/L; or add OGTT 2h venous plasma glucose >=11.1mmol/L; or add glycosylated hemoglobin (HbA1c) >=6.5%; 2. Patients without typical diabetic symptoms need to be re-examined on a later day; 3. Meet the diagnostic criteria for periodontitis: 2 or more non-adjacent teeth with clinical attachment loss (CAL), or buccal or lingual CAL>=3mm with periodontal pockets>=3mm in 2 or more teeth. Periodontitis can be diagnosed if the patient meets one of the criteria; 4. Consciousness, hearing, intelligence, and communication skills are all at a normal level; 5. The applicant and his or her family are aware of the content of the research and voluntarily participate in the research.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.When evaluating CAL, some non-periodontal diseases were excluded, including: gingival recession caused by trauma, caries beyond the neck of the tooth, dislocation of the third molar or distal CAL of the second molar after extraction, pus drainage of pulp lesions through marginal periodontal tissue, vertical root fracture; 2.Accompanied by heart, liver, kidney and other important organ diseases; 3.Accompanied by other metabolic diseases; 4.History of mental illness, or poor compliance; 5.Participated in other studies in the past 3 months;
