Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: (1) Patients diagnosed with KOA according to the diagnostic criteria of the Guidelines for the Diagnosis and Treatment of Osteoarthritis (2018 Edition), and have severe pain in the medial space of the knee joint during activity, and have ineffective conservative treatment, and need knee arthroplasty; (2) Kellgren-Lawrence (K-L) of knee X-ray was graded as II, III, IV, with significant narrowing of the medial space or bone-to-bone, no other compartmental lesions or low degree of lesions; (3) Before surgery, the range of motion of the knee joint is greater than 90°, and the knee flexion and varus deformity are less than 15°, and the varus deformity can be corrected by manual means; (4) The functions of the ligaments of the knee joint remain relatively intact.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: (1) Patients with severe medical diseases and osteoporosis; (2) Those who are found to have moderate to severe cartilage degeneration due to other compartment involvement during the operation, exposing the subchondral bone; (3) Patients with serious ligament injury and obvious instability of the knee joint during the operation; (4) Presence of active synovial lesions of the knee joint, including rheumatoid arthritis, gout, etc.; (5) Patients undergoing bilateral knee arthroplasty; (6) The clinical data were imperfect, and the compliance with treatment and follow-up was low.
