Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Definitively diagnosed T2DM was assessed as having a history of T2DM according to the American Diabetic Association (ADA) criteria for 2021 or a fasting plasma glucose (FPG) level >=7.0 mmol/L or 2 h postprandial glucose >=11.1 mmol/L at initial diagnosis or an HbA1c >=7.0%.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1 T1DM and other types of diabetes mellitus; 2 Uncorrected acute complications of diabetes mellitus; 3 History of hypothalamic or pituitary disease; 4 Malignant thyroid disease, abnormal thyroid function and oral thyroid-related drug therapy; 5 Liver insufficiency (AST and ALT > 2.5 times the normal value); 6 Acute and chronic renal insufficiency (eGFR = 45 ml-min-1/1.73 m-2); 7 Malignant tumor; 8 Pregnant or lactating women; anemia and low-protein malnutrition; 9 Acute infectious state; 10 Combined with other ocular diseases such as trauma, eye injection, cataract, history of surgery, etc.
