Hydrogen inhalation group:Inhale a hydrogen - oxygen mixed gas (67% H? + 33% O?, automatically mixed and produced by the hydrogen - oxygen generator in a 2:1 ratio)
Placebo group:Inhale oxygen (33% O?, a mixture of 0.5 L of pure oxygen and 2.5 L of air, automatically produced by the hydrogen - oxygen machine)

Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: (1) Diagnosed as a patient with rheumatoid arthritis (RA) according to the "2018 Chinese Guidelines for the Diagnosis and Treatment of Rheumatoid Arthritis" and in the active stage of the disease. (2) RA accompanied by foot manifestations: hallux valgus deformity, dislocation/subluxation of the 2nd - 5th metatarsophalangeal joints. (3) The patient's age ranges from 40 to 65 years old. (4) No drug treatment has been received, or drugs such as methotrexate (MTX) have been discontinued for at least 4 weeks.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: (1) Loss of foot sensation. (2) Pain caused by diseases such as lumbar disc herniation or peripheral neuropathy. (3) Simple or congenital hallux valgus deformity. (4) Complicated with other arthritic lesions, such as gouty arthritis, osteoarthritis, and rheumatic arthritis. (5) Exclude other synovial lesions of joints: synovial tuberculosis, synovial chondromatosis, etc.
