Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1.Periodontally healthy subjects who need to have periodontal tissues such as gingiva or alveolar bone resected due to crown - lengthening surgery; or periodontitis subjects who need to undergo tooth extraction, alveolar ridge preparation, and resection of inflamed periodontal tissues for an upcoming implant surgery due to chronic periodontitis. 2.Willingly participate in the clinical study and be able to sign or provide an authorized informed consent form. (Periodontally healthy population: In the periodontally healthy population, BOP < 10%, PD (assuming no false periodontal pockets), no attachment loss on probing, and no radiographic bone loss.)

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.Received periodontal treatment within the past 3 months. 2.Took antibiotics, steroidal and non - steroidal anti - inflammatory drugs, or other medications that may affect periodontal tissues, such as phenytoin sodium, cyclosporine, calcium channel blockers (nifedipine) within the past 3 months. 3.Suffers from serious systemic diseases like diabetes, hypertension, blood diseases, liver damage, kidney diseases, or has a history of alcohol consumption or smoking. 4.Pregnant or lactating women. 5.Unable to complete the questionnaire due to causes such as unclear consciousness, mental disorders, and inability to communicate verbally.
