Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Retrospective study (1) This study included patients with movement disorders such as Parkinson's disease, dystonia, and essential tremor who underwent surgical treatment in the Neurosurgery Department of West China Hospital of Sichuan University from January 2011 to July 2023. (2) Parkinson's patients who exhibit one of the following symptoms: (a) moderate or above amplitude tremor; (b) Slow fine finger movements; (c) The thumb and index finger have a rolling motion; (d) Having gait abnormalities; (e) Unclear language with or without accompaniment (3) Patients with dystonia who exhibit one of the following symptoms: (a) torsion spasm: severe and involuntary twisting of limbs, trunk, or even the entire body, with abnormal movement and posture; (b) Meige syndrome: blepharospasm, blepharospasm combined with oromandibular muscle tone disorder, oromandibular muscle tone disorder; (c) Spasmodic torticollis: causing twisting or spasmodic tilting of the head to one side; (d) Hand foot hyperkinesia: slow, curved, peristaltic like involuntary movement of the distal limbs; (e) Writing spasm: Muscle tone disorders and abnormal posture during the execution of writing. (4) Patients with idiopathic tremor experience tremors in at least one part of their body, with or without speech and mild gait abnormalities. (5) The patient has good medical compliance and has complete information and videos. Prospective study (1) This study included patients with motor disorders such as Parkinson's disease, dystonia, and essential tremor who were admitted or treated in the neurosurgery department of West China Hospital of Sichuan University from September 2023 to May 2025. (2) Parkinson's patients who exhibit one of the following symptoms: (a) moderate or above amplitude tremor; (b) Slow fine finger movements; (c) The thumb and index finger have a rolling motion; (d) Having gait abnormalities; (e) Unclear language with or without accompaniment (3) Patients with dytonia who exhibit one of the following symptoms: (a) torsion spasm: severe and involuntary twisting of limbs, trunk, or even the entire body, with abnormal movement and posture; (b) Meijie syndrome: blepharospasm, blepharospasm combined with oromandibular muscle tone disorder, oromandibular muscle tone disorder; (c) Spasmodic torticollis: causing twisting or spasmodic tilting of the head to one side; (d) Hand foot hyperkinesia: slow, curved, peristaltic like involuntary movement of the distal limbs; (e) Writing spasm: Muscle tone disorders and abnormal posture during the execution of writing. (4) Patients with idiopathic tremor experience tremors in at least one part of their body, with or without speech and mild gait abnormalities. (5) The patient has good medical compliance and is willing to cooperate with researchers to improve relevant information and videos.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Retrospective study (1) The patient has significant cognitive impairment. (2) Patient information is severely missing. (3) The quality of the collected video is insufficient: clarity defects, and interference from other characters. Prospective study (1) The patient has significant cognitive impairment. (2) The patient is unwilling to provide relevant information and videos.
