Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. All patients met the diagnostic criteria of stroke formulated by the Fourth Cerebrovascular Disease Conference, were diagnosed with stroke by head CT or MRI, and had unilateral hemiplegia. 2. The age range of each patient was from 30 to 65. 3. Every patient had an MMSE score of at least 22. 4. The affected upper limb's Brunnstrom stage was >=?, its key muscle strength was > grade 1, and its Modified Ashworth Score was < grade 3. 5. Every patient was able to flex and extend their elbows on their own, or with minimal assistance, and stay stable for at least six seconds. 6. All patients with stable vital signs, clear consciousness, could cooperate to complete the assessment. 7. All patients and their families gave informed consent for this study and signed the informed consent form.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients with brain stem and thalamus lesions. 2. Patients with serious cardiac disease, hypertension, acute sickness, or unstable medical conditions. 3. Patients with cardiac pacemakers or intracranial metallic implants. 4. Patients with a previous history of epilepsy or a family history of epilepsy. 5. Patients with severe visual impairment, auditory impairment, balance dysfunction, cognitive impairment, or speech disorders. 6. The upper limbs involvement in peripheral neuropathic diseases due to diabetes, alcoholism, drug intoxication, and other causes. 7. The upper limbs were complicated with diseases that could cause aberrant electromyography signals, such as demyelinating disorders of the central nervous system.
