18 Years to 60 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1.Age >=18 years old but < 60 years old; 2. patients with acute ankle sprain (within 72 hours after injury); 3. patients who voluntarily consented to participate in the study.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. patients with suspected fractures according to the Ottawa Ankle Rules (OAR) and/or X-ray examination; 2. Patients with more urgent or serious conditions than ankle sprain requiring treatment; 3. patients with other musculoskeletal pain more severe than ankle sprain; 4. The patient had symptoms deemed by the investigator to be inappropriate for study participation; 5. The patient is currently receiving treatment for complications that the investigator deemed inappropriate; 6. patients with a physical or mental disorder that would affect their voluntary participation in the trial (e.g., dementia, severe mental illness, severe visual or hearing impairment, illiteracy, drug addiction); 7. patients unable to participate in the study due to time or distance constraints.

The results of X-ray /MRI/ ultrasound examination and clinical function score at 6 weeks of follow-up were compared;

Results of X-ray /MRI/ ultrasound examination, clinical function score, gross photographs, history taking, and physical examination at other time points were also collected;
