Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: (1) reducible atlantoaxial dislocation or instability. Patients undergoing atlantoaxial internal fixation; (2) Patients could tolerate surgery without surgical contraindications.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: (1) The imaging showed that the pedicle was small or deformed, and the lateral mass could not be placed, and the pedicle screw was inserted. (2) vertebral artery variations such as high span and intruding, which may affect atlantoaxial screw placement; (3) atlantoaxial dislocation that cannot be reduced by traction and requires anterior release; (4) patients with serious underlying diseases; (5) patients with incomplete imaging data or lost to follow-up.
