Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. The participant or the authorized representative agrees and signs the informed consent form. 2. All participants have brain damage caused by hypoxia and ischemia. 3. Participants are determined to have chronic disorders of consciousness by at least five evaluations using the Coma Recovery Scale-Revised (CRS-R) (A1 90%, no signs of septic shock, no organ failure). 6. No history of capsaicin allergy.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Organic lesions in the swallowing organs (organic lesions in the mandible, lips, tongue, soft palate, throat, esophagus and other organs); 2. Participants who were intolerant to capsaicin in the past and did not see improvement after treatment (such as irritation symptoms such as allergies); 3. During the grand seizure, mania and other mental symptoms that can not cooperate with the program; 4. High fever or vital signs unstable; 5.Rupture of the external ear canal; 6. otitis media.
