Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Age older than 18 years old; 2. The expected length of intensive care unit stay is more than 14 days; 3. Expected to require long-term (>=7 days) mechanical ventilation after ICU admission; 4. Expected to require long-term (>=7 days) treatment with sedative and analgesic drugs after ICU admission.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients admitted to ICU with major primary diseases such as grand mal epilepsy, intracranial hypertension, cerebral aneurysm, intracranial hemorrhage, craniocerebral injury, cerebral infarction, stroke, etc.; 2.BMI > 40kg/m^2; 3. Pregnant women or those who have plans for pregnancy; 4. Other items that may not be applicable to the study.
