Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Inclusion criteria for the ARDS group (3 of the following are met at the same time): (1) Newborns with illness admitted to our NICU from January 1, 2025 to December 31, 2025; (2) intrapartum amniotic fluid contamination (grade I, II, III contamination); (3) gestational age>=32 weeks; (4) Respiratory clinical symptoms appeared = 16. where OI=(inspired oxygen concentration × mean airway pressure ×100)/ arterial partial pressure of oxygen (cm H2O/mm Hg). Neonatal ARDS can be diagnosed if all 5 criteria are met together. Inclusion Criteria for Non-ARDS Group: (1) Newborns with illness admitted to our NICU from January 1, 2025 to December 31, 2025; (2) intrapartum amniotic fluid contamination (grade I, II, III pollution); (3) gestational age>=32 weeks; (4) Respiratory clinical symptoms < 7 days after birth, but do not meet the diagnostic requirements of "Montreux criteria", or no positive symptoms and signs < 7 days after birth.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Children with congenital lung malformations (diaphragmatic hernia, isolated lungs, etc.) and surgical diseases (chylothorax, lymphoma, etc.) that may have severe lung infections and respiratory distress immediately after birth; 2. 7 days after birth, ARDS is excluded, the condition is stable, and the related diseases are cured and discharged.
