Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: (1) Confirmed diagnosis of a first, single unilateral ischemic or hemorrhagic stroke by head computed tomography (CT) or magnetic resonance imaging (MRI); (2) Onset of stroke more than one month; (3) Aged between 18 and 80years; Male or Female; (4) A pretreatment Medical Research Council (MRC) scale of = 26, junior high school and above: MLAST-a + MLAST-b>=27); fairly good cognitive function, as defined by scores on the MMSE>=17/30 points for illiterate participants, >=20/30 points for primary school participants, or >= 24/30 points for secondary school participants; (7) Sign the informed consent form.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: (1) Previous central nervous system diseases; (2) Contraindications for neurophysiological evaluation, electrical stimulation therapy, and near-infrared brain functional imaging include epidermal damage, fever, history of tumors, wearing pacemakers, metal implants or other metal implants in the skull or skull defects, epilepsy patients, pregnant or lactating women, or women of childbearing age who have not taken reliable contraceptive measures; (3) Individuals with severe systemic diseases who are unable to participate in the study: those with comorbidities of the respiratory, heart, liver, kidney, endocrine, and hematopoietic systems, such as congestive heart failure, arrhythmia, and uncontrolled hypertension; (4) Diseases that significantly impair or affect upper limb movement: severe upper limb infections, contractures, joint surgeries, amputations, fractures, rheumatism or rheumatoid arthritis; (5) Individuals with severe cognitive, speech, visual, hearing impairments (such as deaf and mute individuals) or mental disorders that affect examination and treatment; (6) Participation in other clinical trials.
